Charles Helmers Elementary School is committed to the development
of life-long learners, decision makers, and persons of
character, one student at a time

Our school is privileged to have a high level of parental support. Volunteers work at the school daily to assist in the classroom, library, and office. There are over 20,000 volunteer hours logged annually.

Parents also serve on school and district committees. Anyone interested in volunteering at our school should contact the school office for information. Technology, music, and fine arts continue to be supported by our parents and the business community.

It's hard to believe we are half way thru the school year!

I'm proud to say our Helmers PTA Unit was recently featured in the California State PTA Newsletter for winning a Governor's Award for our fun and healthy FIT TEAM program. We'll have more fun and fit activities in store this spring during Health Week on March 19 - 23 and at our fabulous "Family Fun Run" in May.

Get ready for some other fun PTA events such as Mother-Son Bowling Night in March and the Father-Daughter Dance this April.

The change in seasons also brings our popular community outreach program, "Helmers Helping Families" which benefits the SCV Food Pantry during their most critical time of need. Other upcoming PTA programs include "A Classical Blast of Mime and Music" assembly, ASE spring classes, the Science Fair and the PTA Ice Cream Social.

I want to thank all our husky parents for your continued support for our PTA. Our huskies have a real sense of pride knowing that you and other parents are contributing and making a difference for our school.. Your children are proud of your participation.
